Fractured Clutch Pedal Support?

The MX-5 NC has a few well known weak points, and the clutch pedal assembly is one of the biggest. In stock form the pedal bracket is just no match to handle upgraded pressure plates commonly installed when upping the output of the driveline. The factory bracket is and assembly of stamped mild steel parts and then spot welded together. These will fatigue with age and commonly break at the welds and bends, even on stock street driven cars.

The solution has been to purchase a set of gusset plates and have them welded into strategic "worry" points on the assembly. This has proven to stop the failures induced by even the stoutest clutch assembly. But this solution has a few drawbacks. First it relies on your original clutch pedal assembly not already being cracked and bent out of shape, and second, you have to find someone to properly weld the gussets in place without warping the factory bracket. And on top of all that, you have the down time involved. What a pain!

So we came up with a solution that, well, seems pretty obvious to us...... A new factory pedal assembly with the reinforcing brackets already welded on and ready to go! We have been installing these for several years now for our in house clients cars, and now we are offering them to you so you can install them at home with zero downtime, no welding, and no chance of fitment issues. We can't do much about the laying on your back under the dash to remove and install, but we have taken some of the pain out of the process for you!

You receive a brand new, factory clutch pedal assembly with the gussets jig installed and welded in place.
